The NFL announced their Pro Bowl rosters this evening, and the list contains the name of a solitary Texan.
Congratulations to #Texans DE Jadeveon Clowney (@clownejd), elected to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his brief three-year career.

We’re pretty high on the first overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft around these parts, so you can imagine that we feel this honor is beyond well deserved. Congrats to J.D. Clowney. The guy has EARNED it.
In looking at the rosters, the question is whether you believe any other members of the 2016 Houston Texans were snubbed.
DeAndre Hopkins, as phenomenal as he is, simply hasn’t put up the numbers and had the season he had when he got the nod a year ago. Hard to argue with his omission.
What of A.J. Bouye? Duane Brown? Lamar Miller? Whitney Mercilus? Benardrick McKinney? Mistakenly overlooked, or a case of other players at their position simply being more deserving this season?
UPDATE: Jadeveon Clowney’s reaction to the news:
I wouldn't have this opportunity w/o the support of my coaches and teammates. I think my son is gonna love Disneyworld! Blessed & grateful. pic.twitter.com/k1B4MYuvVn

UPDATE II: The first iteration of the AFC Pro Bowl roster only had one Texan, but it appears four (4) more Texans were named alternates.
#Texans alternates for the Pro Bowl are Duane Brown, DeAndre Hopkins, Lamar Miller and Whitney Mercilus.
