Street Clothes Special: Texans-Bengals Inactives

The Houston Texans are welcoming the Cincinnati Bengals this evening. At this point of the season, both teams are missing star players due to injuries that will likely impact the outcome of tonight’s matchup.

The Texans’ primary running back, Lamar Miller, has finally succumbed to his long-standing ankle injury and will miss tonight’s annual beatdown of the Bengals. He was officially questionable going into Saturday morning, but was ruled out hours before the game. The only other player listed as questionable for the Texans is Johnathan Joseph (ribs) was limited in practice on Friday. Jadeveon Clowney (elbow, wrist), Brian Cushing (ankle), and Nick Novak (oblique, back), were also limited, but are expected to start.

Other Texans that have spent extra time on the trainer’s table this week are Jeff Allen (concussion), Chris Clark (ankle), C.J. Fiedorowicz (concussion), Ryan Griffin (hamstring), Kareem Jackson (hamstring), Don Jones (illness), Benardrick McKinney (wrist), Whitney Mercilus (back), Brian Peters (quadricep), John Simon (chest), and Xavier Su’a-Filo (finger).

The Cincinnati Bengals have fewer players on their injury report, but ruled out four players due to injury after Friday’s practice. Vontaze Burfict (knee, concussion), Clint Boling (shoulder), Tyler Eifert (back), and Tyler Kroft (knee, ankle) will miss the game. A.J. Green, who hasn’t played since week 11, was ruled out with his hamstring injury and likely won’t play next week, either.

Jeremy Hill (knee) and Michael Johnson (shoulder) are both officially questionable, while Wallace Gilberry (calf), Vincent Rey (hamstring), Pat Sims (hip), and James Wright (knee), should not be held out of the game due to injury.
