After a season’s worth of somewhat arbitrary rankings, today we’re finally treated to two games that’ll determine which schools will be playing for the collegiate football national championship on the night of Monday, January 9th.
First, at 2 p.m. CST, we’ll see if Washington can upset Alabama and end the fait accompli that is yet another crystal football for Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide.
Then, at 6 p.m. CST, we’ll learn whether Urban Meyer can earn his first title shot at Ohio State without Tom Herman in his employ. Standing in Meyer’s way will be DeAndre Hopkins and D.J. Reader’s alma mater.
If there’s a better legal way to spend your New Year’s Eve, I haven’t found it. Chat about the two national semifinal college football playoff games as you see fit in this thread.
