2016 Houston Texans Game Day Live: Houston Texans v. Green Bay Packers (First Quarter)

New, comments

Looking to end a two-game losing streak, the Texans are at Lambeau Field today to take on the Packers. Talk about what's happening on the field as it transpires in Battle Red Blog's live open thread for the game.

Even though he's not playing today, J.J. deserves the first quarter photo when his team heads to the place that birthed him.

The Texans will battle the Packers in Green Bay today. They'll do it without J.J. Watt, which they knew would be the case in late September. They'll also do it without Jadeveon Clowney, which wasn't the plan until yesterday.

To complicate matters further, Aaron Rodgers is still the Packers' quarterback. Some Texans fans would argue that sense of dread should be compounded by the fact that Brock Osweiler is still the Texans' quarterback.

If the Texans lose today, they face the very real possibility of their AFC South lead transforming into a three-way tie. If they win, they'll stem the hemming and hawing...temporarily, anyway.

Enough chitchat. Let us march forward to our destiny.
