Bad news for Texans fans still hoping to see Bill O’Brien make a change at quarterback. Tom Savage, who was a late scratch last week against the Packers due to an infection in his right elbow, remains sidelined. No word yet on whether Savage will be ready to suit up when the Texans face the Colts on Sunday.
That means that if Brock Osweiler gets hurt, the Texans could turn to Brandon Weeden at quarterback. Weeden, you might recall, led the Texans to their first ever victory in Indianapolis over the Colts last year when T.J. Yates tore his ACL.
Just as Yates earned his reputation as a Bengals killer for his repeated high-stakes triumphs over Cincinnati, could Weeden repeat his heroics at Lucas Oil Stadium if pressed into service again on Sunday?
