2016 NFL Draft Prospects By Position: Defensive Tackles

The Houston Texans have an aging mountain of a man at NT right now, but he's not getting any younger, and we may need to shore up that position in the 2016 NFL Draft.

He's thinking about how to get fatter while still staying agile and quick so he can handle it when the current fluffy fat man in the middle retires. We're hoping he can do it.

The Texans brought in Vince Wilfork before the 2015 season to address the abject failure that was Louis Nix III. Big Vince performed much better when he wasn't being asked to handle so many snaps, so the development of Christian Covington helped a lot (Brandon Dunn managed to make a name for himself in the loss to KC, but not in a good way) and the team has brought in Devon Still to help with that spot.  Questions remain as to which of those three men--if any--can fill Wilfork's cleats when he finally retires, and each of the three has some aspect of their game that still needs to be developed. Therefore, a number of fans are still looking for fluffy fat b@stards in the draft that we can get to play for us.

Check out this video from the Eagles site about what scouts are looking for along the defensive line.

CBS ranks Baylor'Andrew Billings as the second best defensive takcle in the draft after Alabama's  A'Shawn Robinson.  Both are projected to go in the first round and I think a number of y'all would throw something at your TVs and computer screens if our first rounder was spent on the defensive line.

NOTE: Because CBS and Draft Breakdown characterize players differently, there will be a total of seven posts about defensive linemen and linebackers.

Take a look at the DT prospects and let us know how we should handle this position, with whom, and in what round.
