A little more than a month ago, Mel Kiper, Jr. released his first mock of the 2016 NFL Draft. He had your Houston Texans drafting a quarterback. Now, in his second permutation, Kiper has the Texans going in a different, albeit widely speculated, direction.

22. Houston Texans: Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio State

Arian Foster could be a cap casualty as he attempts to come back from a devastating injury, and Elliott can come in and provide a lot of what Foster has done so well -- a complete back who gets downhill and offers a consistent weapon in the passing game with great hands. Elliott is also an extraordinary blocker and a quarterback's best friend, whomever that QB is.

Note that Kiper has Carson Wentz, who he previously mocked to the Texans at No. 22, going off the board to the Browns at No. 2. NOBODY KNOWS ANYTHING.

That said, if there's a running back worth taking in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, it's widely considered to be Ezekiel Elliott and likely only Ezekiel Elliott. Your reaction if the Texans make the Ohio State RB a Texan come April?
