2016 NFL Draft Prospects By Position: Outside Linebackers

We're coming to the end of our look at prospects by position by looking at the men that set the edge and rush the passer (hopefully). See who could be a Texan after the 2016 NFL Draft.

Watt and Simon work well together. That may have more to do with Watt, however.

The Texans have two pretty good outside linebackers in Whitney Mercilus and Jadeveon Clowney. Unfortunately, they best play in the same spot, so we struggled to get them on the field at the same time last year. The Texans also have John Simon, Brian Peters, and Justin Tuggle listed as outside linebackers. We clearly need to do something about this position, or find a way to get consistent positive play from it, to help free up J.J. Watt to wreak havoc.

CBS has 77 outside linebackers listed as draftable prospects, including Marshall's Evan McKelvey, Rutgers' Quentin Gause (according to B1G announcers, it rhymes with ACE), former Bruin Myles Jack (the top-rated OLB prospect in the country according to CBS), the BadgersJoe Schobert, and Junior Seau's nephew Ian Seau (Nevada).

How do you think we should address the Whitney-JD issue? Should we just bring in someone else for the other side? Are you okay with John Simon containing and tackling for us? Is anyone?
