Houston Texans, Oakland Raiders To Play In First Monday Night Football Game Outside United States

The Houston Texans are going to make history in 2016. The good kind, even. Not the kind that involves a quarterback throwing for a record number of pick-sixes. Texans fans react on Battle Red Blog.

This afternoon, the NFL confirmed that the report about your Houston Texans facing the Oakland Raiders in Mexico City for a 2016 regular season game is true. That's not all, though. The NFL announced the date of the upcoming Texans-Raiders game, and it just so happens to be on a Monday night. From the press release:

The Oakland Raiders will host the Houston Texans at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on Monday night, November 21. The game will be televised live on ESPN in the United States and on Televisa and ESPN in Mexico, marking the first-ever Monday Night Football game to be played outside the US.

Mark your calendars and make your travel plans, Texans fans. Whether you'll be in attendance at Estadio Azteca or on your couch, you know where you'll be on the evening of Monday, November 21, 2016. Now we just need to wait for the league to fill in the rest of Houston's schedule.
