Grimes now joins Lamar Miller, Alfred Blue, Kenny Hilliard, and scatback Akeem Hunt in arguably the best running back rotation in the AFC South. Surely all five of them will not make the roster come Opening Day, but a combination of Miller and Hunt for speed, Blue for power, and Grimes for pass protection on third downs could prove to be quite the lethal group. Grimes in particular has been known as "Diet Arian Foster" around these parts for several years now and has developed a reputation as that reliable yet unspectacular backup running back that all great teams seem to have up their sleeve.
Welcome back, Grimes. We may not have the real Foster anymore, but you are close enough.
UPDATE: The details on Grimes' new deal with the Texans:
Texans signed Jonathan Grimes for 1 year at $700,000 with $200,000 bonus for 90-man roster.
