2016 NFL Draft: Tennessee Titans Trade First Overall Pick To Los Angeles Rams, Receive Bounty In Return

The Titans traded the top pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, and they received a king's ransom to do it. Find out the details on Battle Red Blog.

"And so, we thought, wouldn't it be cool to be on the other side of a gigantic draft trade?"

The Titans ("affectionately" known as a certain four letter word here at BRB) made a huge deal with the Rams today for the #1 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Peter King, I believe, broke the story first.

The details of the deal:

Wow. Presumably, the Rams have their sights set on one of the top quarterbacks (likely Carson Wentz or Jared Goff) available in the 2016 NFL Draft, much to the chagrin of Case Keenum fans. The Titans, on the other hand, believe they have their franchise quarterback in Marcus Mariota, so they set themselves up beautifully to take advantage of the situation.

From the perspective of a Texans aficionado, Tennessee just acquired the ability to get much better relatively quickly, which isn't something you like to see from a division rival. Of course, the Titans still have to hit on the picks, but the opportunity to add talent over the next two drafts via this transaction has to be considered a great move as we sit here today. Leave your reaction to the deal in the Comments below.
