2016 NFL Draft Results: D.J. Reader Is Your Newest Houston Texan

The Texans make their last pick of the 2016 NFL Draft, unless they trade back into the draft, by selecting D.J. Reader, a defensive tackle from Clemson, with the 166th overall pick.

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The Texans, not content with J.J. Watt and K.J. Dillon, have added another member to the Texans Initialed Player Society by taking D.J. Reader (DT--Clemson).

This makes plenty of sense.  Since Jared Crick departed for Gary Kubiak and Texans West (otherwise known as the Denver Broncos), the line has had a hole in it that sorely needed filling.

I'll give y'all a minute to stop giggling.

Good now?  Moving on.

Anyway, it's a good pick at a good value at an area the Texans needed to address.  What's to like about it?  What's not to like about it?  Let us know in the comments.

There will be a more in-depth breakdown of the newest Houston Texan forthwith.

And, unless the Texans trade up into the sixth or seventh round, or even back into the fifth, that will do it for your Houston Texans' 2016 draft class, save for undrafted free agents.

Keep it tuned here because you never know what kind of surprises Rick Smith and Bill O'Brien have in store for us.
