This was mentioned in today's Newswire, but I wanted to make sure Aaron Wilson's story about Duane Brown's rehab from the torn quad he suffered in the Texans' regular season finale got highlighted. From Wilson's article:
"I've been very fortunate that the surgery went well, and the rehab is going amazing," Brown said. "I'm really progressing rapidly. I still have a long way to go, but I'm on track for the first game."
"I'm definitely doing great," Brown said. "Everything has been very positive."
Of course, the always present caveat of rehab being a fluid situation should be taken into account, but I'll take good news in April over bad news in April any day of the week and twice on Sunday. It'd be a boon for the Texans to have their starting left tackle back when Brock Osweiler takes his first real snap under center for the good guys in September.
