It's the final day of practice in a week that finally, FINALLY ends with Texans football! Since Monday, Houston has released a depth chart for this weekend's opening game against the 49ers, John Elway has continued to whine about Brock Osweiler's departure from Denver like a jealous ex-boyfriend, and Jadeveon Clowney has undermined my hopes of his breakout season by missing several days of training camp.
But it will all be okay, because football is officially back. Today, the Texans and 49ers participate in a joint practice as both teams prepare for Sunday night's matchup at Levi's Stadium. The first Texans preseason game of the season will offer a glimpse at most of the key players in our overhauled offense, from offseason acquisitions to rookies. Perhaps most importantly, it will provide a first look at Houston's $72 million investment at quarterback.
The guys here at BRB will still have their handy little Twitter widget running, updating you on all the news, rumors, and general Texans shenanigans as they occur. You can contribute thoughts, analysis, links, updates and discussion to the comments section below.
