2016 Houston Texans Training Camp Live: Day Five

Texans camp was unfortunately closed to the public yesterday.  I suspect it's due to the fact that they didn't want the public getting wind of the fact that the Texans were trying to install a bear at NT (we're hearing reports that he's literally eating the competition alive).

My terrible attempt at humour didn't stop the Texans from practicing, and I'm glad of that because that would mean I wouldn't get my daily dose of Stephen Anderson hype. For those among you who are not as weird as me when it comes to pre-draft research, Stephen Anderson was a sneaky prospect out of Cal who was a smaller TE with a solid set of receiving skills. At his size and with his abilities, the hope is he could eventually develop into the joker or a move TE, which have been so successful over the past few years .The early reviews for Anderson have been good, as John Harris describes in his daily camp recap.

I really hope this is the something which we see more of as the season progresses. I really don't want to see C.J. Fiedorowicz on the field again. One final tidbit about Anderson from the pre-draft process via Matt Waldman on Anderson's intangibles. While the point can be made that he might not be the most skillful player on the field at any given moment, he'll sure as heck work his tail off to try and make sure that he one day could be.
