Did you watch Brett Farve talk for a long time last night? Did the induction of Tony Dungy and Marvin Harrison open up old sealed wounds you thought were sutured up forever? Did you remark on how enormous Orlando Pace is? Are you revved up and roaring for the start of the 2016 season?
In case you are new to this, tonight is the 2016 Hall of Fame Game. It's the first preseason game of the season every year and it comes the day after the newest Hall of Fame class gets inducted. The 2016 version tonight has the Green Bay Packers playing the Indianapolis Colts. The season has officially started and we get our first look at the Indianapolis Colts.
Watch and comment on the game in the open thread. And remember all blog rules are the same as last year. Enjoy the game while you do whatever it is that you do.
Never mind all that. Football will have to wait. The Hall of Fame Game was canceled and the 2016 season won't get underway.
Both organizations very concerned about playing surface and there are real questions about whether tonight's game will be played.

Parts of Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio are as hard as concrete in opinion of multiple players. Unsafe, they say.

The paint that was applied today on middle of field, and in endzones, has congealed; would be like playing on tar.

According to Adam Schefter, tonight's game was canceled for player's health concerns. Apparently the paint that was painted today turned into a thick, bone-shattering, concussion-inducing, gelatinous mash. The season will start later this week when the rest of the league begins their preseason.
