While the Texans may have secured a victory against the Bears today, it was not without its cost, with starting inside linebacker Brian Cushing going down with a leg injury early in the first quarter. The injury would keep Cushing out for the rest of the game. As for what kind of injury it is, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says:
#Texans LB Brian Cushing, carted off with a knee injury, is out 6 weeks with a torn MCL, source said. No surgery.

Cushing has an unfortunate history with injuries after having his season ended in 2012 with an ACL injury and then had his 2013 season cut short after breaking his fibula against Kansas City. This is another unfortunate turn for Cushing and the Texans. Head Coach Bill O’ Brien noted:
O'Brien on Cushing: "Brian is a heart and soul kind of player. We don't know how long he'll be out."
