It’s been a rough few weeks for Derek Newton. He was injured on the first day of training camp with a hamstring injury which kept him out of the pre-season. After making it back in time to play the season opener against the Bears, it seems that the injury bug is still lingering around Newton with him being limited on Friday’s practice and officially being put on the questionable list for tomorrow’s game against the Chiefs.

The Texans’ offensive line is already pretty thin, considering that the Texans lost rookie center Nick Martin for the entire season due to injury and will be without starting left tackle Duane Brown as he continues to recover from his quad injury. If Newton does miss the game Sunday, Kendall Lamm will in all likelyhood be the starting right tackle opposite Chris Clark on a Texans’ offensive line that will then be missing three starters.
