The Houston Texans were embarrassed by the Kansas City Chiefs in the wild-card round of the playoffs last year. The Texans’ defense stepped up to make sure that would not be the case in 2016.
The Chiefs were held to three points in the first half of today’s game. More importantly, it appears that Texans defensive end J.J. Watt has found his sea legs. Watt has been in the backfield in all game, and he was able to collect one of Houston’s fumble recoveries in the first half.
Watt shoved Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith out of the way to collect a loose ball after a high snap.
The fumble recovery set up Brock Osweiler and DeAndre Hopkins, who connected on a 27-yard touchdown on the very next play.

The Texans have plenty of weapons with Watt and Hopkins, and they were on full display against the Chiefs on Sunday.
