This week’s Thursday Night Football game features two teams who have yet to hit their stride this season. The Dolphins’ season started off by coming painstakingly close to beating the Seahawks before almost mounting a comeback against the Patriots in Week 2. All it took for them to get their first win was to play Cleveland (as it is for many teams).
The Bengals started their season with a punishing slate of games. They opened the season with a one point victory over the Jets in a game which saw the Jets sack Andy Dalton seven times and A.J. Green roasting Darrelle Revis multiple times. After that, the Bengals fell to both the Broncos and Steelers in match-ups that could very well have been playoff previews.
For Cincinnati, the game will revolve around trying to stop Ndamukong Suh, a task which the Bengals have failed to do so far this season, with the second highest adjusted sack rate of any team in football, according to Football Outsiders. For the Dolphins, it’ll all be about limiting their own mistakes, especially after watching Kenny Stills drop a surefire touchdown in Week One and letting New England blow them out of the game in the first half of their Week Two clash.
This will be your open thread for the evening, so as always, feel free to comment below. Enjoy the game.
