Your Houston Texans began the task of culling their roster down to 53 players yesterday, and you can see who they've already cut by checking out the first tracker here. Similarly, you can see which players are still on the roster by clicking here. The Texans have until 3 p.m. CDT today to finish the job.

What will that entail? Will they simply release three more players and go with the 53 athletes left standing? Could there be more than three players jettisoned as the Texans sign a player or players who were cut by other teams? Might there be a trade in the works?

We'll update this post as those questions get answered. As we await word from NRG Park, let your thoughts and speculation about what the Texans will or should do in the space below.

Cuts:

WR Cecil Shorts III
RB Akeem Hunt
C Dalton Freeman

UPDATE: The Texans' official team site says it's all over. Here's a summary of everyone who got cut and who's left standing.
