Rob Rang of CBS Sports has his latest projection of the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft out. Like Dan Kadar, Rang has the QBs currently thought to be first-rounders gone by the time your Houston Texans go on the clock. Also like Kadar, Rang has Houston shoring up its offensive line with that first round pick.
25. Houston Texans
Cam Robinson, OT, Alabama: Injuries to starters Duane Brown and Derek Newton played a part in Brock Osweiler's disappointing first season in Houston, making improving the depth on the outside a clear need for the Texans. Robinson is not as polished as one might think given that he won the Outland Trophy as the nation's top blocker, but he possesses the tools and temperament needed to contribute immediately.
As we discussed in the reaction to Kadar’s mock earlier this week, drafting a tackle early makes sense for the Texans, particularly in the wake of the news that Chris Clark also recently underwent surgery. What are your thoughts on Cam Robinson being that tackle?
