John Simon can’t catch a break. He was having a solid year for the Texans, stepping up to join Whitney Mercilus as the Texans’ other starting outside linebacker when Jadeveon Clowney found himself spending the majority of his time at defensive end. Then a chest injury struck in Mexico City, causing Simon to miss four games as the season wound down. He returned for the Bengals game but missed the regular season finale against Tennessee.
Now John Simon will miss the Texans’ first playoff game as well (tip o’ the cap to Wotan for the heads-up).

How do you reckon Simon’s absence will affect what the Texans want to do against the Raiders on Saturday?
