It’s TNF time in Charlotte.

Hey, look! It’s two 4-1 teams going against each other on Thursday Night Football! Surely the fact that both of these teams are on a short week won’t impact the quality of play of these two behemoths, right? RIGHT?

Tonight’s game will feature Panthers QB Cam Newton coming off of his best performance so far this year in the win over Detroit, in which Newton threw 26-33 for 355 yards, 3 touchdowns, and zero interceptions. This surge in efficiency from the Panthers’ offense is scary, considering that the defense is still as loaded as ever with Luke Kuechly, Kawann Short and Star Lotulelei all starring for Ron Rivera’s team.

On the other side is a team that’s winning games in much the same way. QB Carson Wentz has been a more than effective marshal for the Eagles’ offense, spreading the ball around to a variety of receivers, including some of the the more aggressive pass-catching backs in the NFL. The Eagles’ defense follows much of the same formula as Carolina, with the front 7 leading the way, Brandon Graham and Fletcher Cox starring in particular.

This evening’s match-up should be a really good one. Stay awhile and comment with us here in this open thread.
