A day after he reportedly said that the NFL should not let the inmates run the prison, resulting in DeAndre Hopkins and D’Onta Foreman choosing to leave practice, the owner of the Houston Texans has attempted to make peace with the team. The team released the following statement from McNair:
Statement from Texans Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Robert C. McNair: pic.twitter.com/YqkfnbjeSp— Texans PR (@TexansPR) October 28, 2017
To sum it up, McNair said that the quote was not about the players, but about the relationship between the league office and team owners. Whether this is true or not, I don’t know.
When it comes to the team, every member of the Texans is allegedly on the flight to Seattle to take on the Seahawks tomorrow afternoon.
