It’s week five of the season, and a rotation of Texans and Chiefs are spending time on the training tables with various owwies and booboos.
So far G Kyle Fuller (hamstring), ILB Ben Heeney (knee), and CB Kevin Johnson (foot) have been ruled out and C Greg Mancz (knee) is questionable for the Texans. Other Texans getting a little extra attention from the trainers this week include CB Marcus Burley (knee), DE Christian Covington (knee), CB Kareem Jackson (hamstring), G Xavier Su’a-Filo (knee), S Andre Hal (ribs), Rb Jordan Todman (foot). DE J.J. Watt (finger), and OLB Whitney Mercilus (ankle).
The Chiefs are in better medical shape than we are. G Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (knee), LB Dee Ford (back), and C Mitch Morse (foot) are already ruled out. Only four other Chiefs needed extra time with the trainers: T Eric Fisher (back), DT Bennie Logan (knee), LB Kevin Pierre-Louis (groin) and QB Alex Smith (ankle).
