Each year on Veterans Day, I post the following quote, because Woodrow Wilson, the President of the United States in office the day this holiday was officially recognized, puts things infinitely better than I could ever hope to.
"To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations…"
To all those who are reading this who are serving or have served our country, whether you’re a fan of the Houston Texans or not, please know how thankful we are for what you have done and/or continue to do. To all of those reading this who have had a loved one serve, please accept our humble appreciation for the sacrifices you made as well. Thank you.
