Tom Savage Will Start For Texans Against Cardinals

Because Bill O’Brien really wants to see how much Texans fans will endure, I guess.

A thousand words.

Tom Savage did not play well against the Rams yesterday. He turned the ball over four times and got bailed out of at least one more turnover—that would have been a pick-six—by a very fortunate defensive holding call.

Frankly, Tom Savage hasn’t played well at any point this year. Or in his entire NFL career, really. Nevertheless, Tom Savage will reportedly remain the starting quarterback for your Houston Texans for the team’s next game against the Arizona Cardinals.

T.J. Yates and Josh Johnson are not guaranteed to be an upgrade over Savage. But they are also guaranteed not to actually be Tom Savage, so I have to disagree with Bill O’Brien’s decision here.

Thus, once more unto the breach, dear friends.

Remember, Texans fans: You are strong. You are resilient. You can do it. You can watch Tom Savage play football.
