In what is shaping up to be the worst injury season in Houston Texans history, breakout rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson reportedly tore his ACL during practice today. Initial reports say that the Texans are still waiting on official results from an MRI, but that the injury was non-contact.
Sources: #Texans QB fear Deshaun Watson suffered a torn ACL in practice today. A non-contact injury. MRI coming to confirm. Awful, awful.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) November 2, 2017
Watson was putting together a historic rookie season and had already broken a handful of records in route to a potential MVP or likely Offensive Rookie of the Year campaign.
Watson joins J.J. Watt, Whitney Mercilus and a bevy of other Texans players to suffer season-ending injuries this season.
We will continue to update this page as information becomes available.
