Houston Texans Discussion: November 27, 2017

It’s where you can talk Texans before the team takes the national stage on Monday Night Football this evening.

As we eagerly await the triumphant return of the Newswire, let’s use this space to talk Houston Texans on this final Monday of November. Your beloved squad is scheduled to battlefight the Ravens in Baltimore this evening. Surely there’s plenty to chat about.

Thoughts on yesterday’s results across the NFL? As unlucky as the Texans have been with injuries, and as much as they should be a total afterthought in the AFC South, neither the Jaguars nor the Titans seem interested in running away with the division.

I’m not about to tell you to start blocking off weekends in January, but the AFC is not exactly stacked with postseason locks. Should the Texans win tonight, they are very much alive in the playoff race.

Would your feelings about the job Bill O’Brien has done in Houston change if his team somehow made the playoffs? Again, I’m not banking on that happening, but the question is worth asking. Follow-up to that: Should your opinion on O’Brien really change that much based on whether the 2017 Houston Texans do qualify for the postseason?

There, I’ve gotten you started. Take it to the streets and discuss.
