Everyone’s favorite former AFC South-clinching, Bengals-slaying, all-around good guy backup quarterback is back in Houston. Yeah, that’s right. T.J. Yates is done playing Guitar Hero and clicking plastic keys. He’s back to playing football.
The #Texans are adding to their QB room, and source said they are signing QB TJ Yates. So Matt McGloin and Yates, along with Tom Savage.

With Deshaun Watson out for the year and having Tom Savage starting, who is 100% going to get hurt behind this offensive line, the Texans needed to add warm bodies to the quarterback roster. So, for the rest of the season, instead of having a potential Offensive Rookie of the Year and MVP candidate at quarterback, the Texans will have a real terrible trio of Savage, Matt McGloin, and Yates.
