The two teams playing at Lucas Oil Stadium this afternoon have dominated the AFC South essentially since Peyton Manning’s debut, but this season, both teams find themselves at the bottom of the division.
We expected the Colts to be bottom-dwellers, especially without Andrew Luck in the lineup. Their ownership, GM, coaching, quarterbacking, and injury situations kind of ensure that they’ll remain there for a while. We didn’t go into the 2017 NFL season, however, expecting the Texans to be sitting on four pathetic victories at this point. But we’ve had just as much ownership, GM, coaching, quarterbacking, and injury drama as any team in the NFL, including the Colts.
So here we are, going into the Oil Can, recognizing that if there’s one team Bill O’Brien cannot realistically lose to twice in a season, it’s our longtime division rivals. What do you expect to see this afternoon? How ugly a game will this be? How many turnovers, bad calls, and WTF-clock management moments do you think will be on display?
