Post-Game Recap/Final Score: Texans 13, Colts 22

This is your final game recap for the season. RIP 2017.

NFL: Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts

The post mortem for the Texans’ 2017 season began the day Deshaun Watson tore his ACL in practice. Regardless of how he played in shorts, Tom Savage was never going to be the answer at QB. Now? It’s time for the post-season discussion to begin in earnest and without any holdout hopes for 2017.

With Black Monday just around the corner, I’m hopeful decisions are made sooner than later. However, allow me to make just one point.

Sure, the Texans have been ravaged by injury in 2017, but the Colts are also without their starting QB, Andrew Luck, among other injuries. One team, though, clearly had more talent on the field today, and it wasn’t the Texans. In addition, the Texans’ two worst units, the secondary and offensive line, are basically the starters from the opening game (or, they’re at least not Jeff Allen).

Somebody needs to be held accountable for this. Finally.

Otherwise, this was a game between two bad teams on the last Sunday of the season. The probable highlight, aside from yet another blown block by Breno Giacomini leading to a safety, was watching Frank Gore get is 14,000th yard. I think it was a four yard gain. Exciting!

Houston Texans fans: waiting for next year since 2002.
