The Texans aren’t the Houston Texans, and they haven’t been in a while. They lost Deshaun Watson, J.J. Watt, D’Onta Foreman, Chris Clark, Christian Covington, and Whitney Mercilus, and I’m sure there are others I can no longer remember. They have been without Kevin Johnson, Ryan Griffin, and C.J. Fiedorowicz for large chunks of the season. They’ve been gutted by injuries.
Today they sent three more players to injured reserve: Brennan Scarlett, Bruce Ellington, and Fiedorowicz. All three are now officially out for the year.

#Texans place three more players on IR this week: Brennan Scarlett and now Bruce Ellington, C.J. Fiedorowicz. It's been a brutal season when it comes to season-ending injuries. https://t.co/AW1lpdn7zz

This makes room for others to play football for the Houston Texans. Others like Jeff Tarpinian, who stole our heart way back when. In that spirit, the Texans have signed Mycole Pruitt (TE) and DeAndrew White (WR) from the practice squad to the active roster. They have also signed Devin Lucien (WR) and Josh Thonrton (CB) to the practice squad.

The Texans have dealt with an absurd amount of injuries this year. And there are still four more weeks left in this season.
