For his part, Griffin’s pumped about staying in Houston.

Some of you may analogize this move with the team’s decision to re-sign Garrett Graham’s three years ago, and I’ll admit Graham’s stats and Griffin’s stats in their walk years look eerily similar. The big difference is that Bill O’Brien had three full seasons to evaluate and coach Ryan Griffin, whereas he hadn’t even coached Garrett Graham when the decision to re-sign Graham was made. Tight ends had sizable roles in Houston’s offense last year; though that may have been more a function of Brock Osweiler‘s limitations than anything else, I can understand why the organization would want to bring Griffin back.
Although we don’t know the financial terms, what’s your take on the news?
