For those of you who are invested in the idea of acquiring current Cowboys backup QB Tony Romo to fill the Texans’ current need at the QB position, here’s some good news! Mark Maske of The Washington Post believes the pairing of the Texans and Romo is likely and, more than that, the rest of the league apparently thinks it’s likely, with one high-ranking official from another franchise quoted as saying about Romo to Houston:
“That one makes the most sense to me,” a high-ranking official with one franchise said. “I don’t think anyone in the league would be surprised to see that one happen.”
There is a wrench to throw into this, though, as Ian Rappoport reported yesterday about a potential three-team trade that would involve the Redskins sending Kirk Cousins to the San Francisco 49ers, the Dallas Cowboys sending Tony Romo to Washington, and the Cowboys acquiring draft picks in the exchange.
Two competing rumours on the potential landing spot for Tony Romo. Whereabouts do you think Romo will land? Let us know in the comments below.
