When your Houston Texans chose not to utilize the franchise tag and then didn’t reach agreement on a new contract with A.J. Bouye before other teams could start wooing him when the legal tampering period began two days ago, Bouye’s departure seemed far more likely than not. This morning, Adam Schefter is reporting that the cornerback who developed from undrafted rookie free agent to perhaps the most wanted veteran free agent on the market in four years is in fact likely on his way out of town.
When free agency begins today, CB A.J. Bouye is likely to leave the Houston Texans and sign elsewhere, per sources.

Although things could theoretically change, it sure sounds like the Texans will no longer to be able to rely on A.J. Bouye in their secondary. As we await final word as to Bouye’s destination, what are your thoughts on the matter?
UPDATE: Sadly for Texans fans, we’ve gone from “likely” to leave to “definitely leaving.”
