This was inevitable, but it’s still good to read amidst a Texans’ offseason of virtually zero activity.

From McClain’s story:

General manager Rick Smith usually extends players with one year left on their contracts, which means Clowney probably would sign an extension at some point before the 2018 season begins.

If Clowney played the 2018 season without an extension, he would make $13.8 million.

Jadeveon Clowney’s stayin’. At least for another two seasons.
