After months of waiting—really, it’s kind of the football fan’s version of pregnancy and feels like almost as long—the 2017 NFL Draft has arrived. Thanks to their loss in the divisional round of the NFL Playoffs, your Houston Texans are currently scheduled to pick 25th in the first round of draft. Will they stay there? Or will they trade up? Maybe they’ll trade back. Perhaps even out of the first round entirely, rendering the next several hours of your evening a brutal exercise in futile anticipation.
If the Texans do make a selection tonight, who will it be? What position will he play? Could the team draft a quarterback in the first round for only the second time in its existence? Tonight, we’ll answer those questions.
Unless, you know, the Texans trade out of the first round. Then nothing will happen tonight.
