Now that the NFL’s version of Christmas is over and all the presents have been opened, it’s time for the messy cleanup.
Sure, not every need can be adequately addressed, but I get the sense the majority of fans approve of this draft class, especially the top half. I of course have been a fan of the Texans since day one, and have been writing/blogging with various degrees of frequency since roughly 2008 - and I don’t recall a draft class that was as popular as this one.
Actually, let me rephrase. I don’t recall a Texans draft class that was initially “naysayed” as little as this one has been. Here again is the complete 2017 Draft Class - the links will take you to their DraftBreakdown.com profiles (scouting reports, stats, videos, etc.).
Round 1 (12) - QB Deshaun Watson, Clemson
Round 2 (57) - LB Zach Cunningham, Vanderbilt
Round 3 (89) - RB D’Onta Foreman, Texas
Round 4 (130) - OT Julie’n Davenport, Bucknell
Round 4 (142) - DT Carlos Watkins, Clemson
Round 5 (169) - CB Treston Decoud, Oregon State
Round 7 (243) - C Kyle Fuller, Baylor
Of course, that means exactly zero right now - but, simply put - now that you’ve slept on it, what is your overall feeling about the 2017 Houston Texans Draft Class?
