2017 Houston Texans Preseason Schedule Announced

We already knew the opponents and general timeline for the Texans’ 2017 exhibition schedule, but now we know the details for all four games. Here are the dates and kickoff times of the Texans’ preseason games this year:

Wednesday, August 9th - Houston Texans @ Carolina Panthers - 6:30 PM CT

Saturday, August 19th - New England Patriots @ Houston Texans - 7:00 PM CT

Saturday, August 26th - Houston Texans @ New Orleans Saints - 7:00 PM CT

Thursday, August 31st - Dallas Cowboys @ Houston Texans - 7:00 PM CT

That first game is not a typo. The Texans are really opening their preseason on a Wednesday night against Carolina, despite the PGA Championship taking place in Charlotte beginning August 10th. The world should get its first glimpse of Deshaun Watson in NFL (preseason) game action that night.

Note that none of these games are nationally televised, though they will air on local affiliates.
