Saturday Night’s Alright For Commenting: June 17, 2017

Here at BRB, we know we have a lot of fathers, so, on behalf of the Masthead, I’d like to wish a Happy Father’s Day to all the dads (of kids, kittens, puppies, goats, horses, etc.) we have!

So tomorrow is Dad’s Day! Congrats to all y’all that have made it yet another year of parenting children, kittens, puppies, and every other conceivable animal. Congratulations, too, to the new dads out there celebrating their first Father’s Day, hopefully with an ice cold Zima in hand.

The Texans have been in the news a fair bit this week (given that we’re not a media hotspot and are largely ignored). David Quessenberry won the George Halas Award for overcoming adversity (ehem, [expletive] cancer). Duane Brown has decided he’s ready for a new contract and will remain away from the team until he gets one (or he starts losing money, whichever happens first). The Texans are going to visit N’awlins to practice against the Saints before playing them. The team will make some of their West Virginia activities open to the public. Deshaun Watson is under unbelievable pressure to deliver, though to hear Tom Savage talk, there’s no need for that since Savage is QB1 for a team desperately searching for a long-term signal caller. Brock Osweiler still hates us, which is fine since the feeling is mutual. Our slot receiving corps cannot suck as bad as they did last year if we want to remain atop the AFC South. And Whitney Mercilus needs to show that last season wasn’t a fluke and he really can produce with J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney.

Well, that’s it in terms of Texans news. What’s going on in y’all’s necks of the woods? Anything we should know about? Here’s your spot to discuss whatever you want. Enjoy!
