Bill O’Brien spoke with Seth Payne and Mike Meltser for eighty minutes recently. They split the interview into multiple parts. Part One aired yesterday, and Part Two aired today. If you live outside the Houston area, or weren’t glued into the radio at that time, you missed it.
Luckily, there are audio recordings and this thing called the internet. The people at Sports Radio 610 have put the interview together in podcast form. The entire thing is great and a must-listen if the Houston Texans are one of your interests.
In the interview, Bill O’Brien discusses a lot of things. Things like the role analytics played in their evaluation of the 2016 season, why they are going to West Virginia for training camp, his relationship with Rick Smith, how draft day decisions are made, the reasoning behind the Deshaun Watson selection, his feelings toward Brock Osweiler, and who is probably going to the starting quarterback at the beginning of 2017.
I’ll hold my tongue and save the snark and any type of basement analysis. Just listen to it. It’s great. You’ll like it. Below is the information needed to dive into the folds of Bill O’Brien’s brain for a little bit. Don’t forget to catch Part II.
