Saturday Night’s Alright For Commenting: June 24, 2017

Well, we’ve made it through another week without NFL football. Let’s take a look at what’s happened in Texans-land and elsewhere.

Despite another week without the Texans in pads on our televisions, we’ve had a lot to chew over the past several days.

Over the past seven days, we learned that Kareem Jackson may help our safety issue. We’ve discussed who might cover for Derek Newton, who finally became a starter we could count on only to go down with injury. We’ve bet on Deshaun Watson’s number of starts and heard the man himself speak about paying dues. We’ve seen that Bill O’Brien isn’t highly rated as a head coach (echoing many comments made here) and heard BOB give a lengthy interview. Brian Cushing has surprised some of us with his talents. We’ve been warned that focusing on the quarterback solution and not paying attention to the fact that someone will need to catch the ball is missing an important problem facing the team. And we’ve seen BOB praise Deshaun.

That’s been it in terms of major Texans news. Is there anything else we need to know? Any plans for the weekend? Any sports or concerts or movies we need to know about? How’s the new recipe going? Share pics (and send samples of food up to DFW for judging ;) thankyouverymuch).

This is your open thread. Enjoy!
