With Brandin Cooks now in New England, Saints receiver Michael Thomas is shouldering massive expectations in Year Two as Drew Brees' go-to target. Thomas led all rookies in virtually every statistical category during his monstrous rookie season, but the real question is whether he can do all of that again in 2017 with defenses being more committed to stopping him.
In this week's episode, we'll try to answer that question by breaking down what made Thomas so effective in New Orleans right out of the gate, as well as how his unique skillset projects for his career going forward. Considering that his strengths - route running, ball skills, and physicality - all mirror our own DeAndre Hopkins, Thomas has the potential to be the first Pro Bowl wide receiver the Saints have had in the Drew Brees era (yes, I was shocked to learn that as well).
