Hello again, Texans fans. The nation celebrates its 241st birthday on Tuesday (imagine the candles on that cake) and, if you’re like me, you’re spending this weekend cooking and planning how you’re going to do your Tuesday cookout.
We’ve been treated to a lot of good Texans coverage this week. Sportswriters decided to debate whether Von Miller or J.J. Watt is the best pass rusher currently playing (we know the correct answer, but they need to generate page hits). The quality (or lack thereof) of our offensive line was briefly discussed, and we discussed whether Rick just needs to pay Duane Brown his money. The good (?) thing is that it’s not just our offensive line that’s dire, as some sports analysts argue our entire roster needs to be purged. We had some debate over what Tom Savage has shown as a quarterback thus far, and what that means for him (and us?) going forward. We also discussed one of the most exciting players on our offense, Braxton Miller, and whether we should expect improved play in 2017. We examined Mike Vrabel’s career and what his promotion to Defensive Coordinator should mean for the men on that side of the ball. And, finally, we discussed Jadeveon Clowney, his adaptability, and his progression.
So that’s been our week in Texan-fan-land here at BRB. Is there anything you’d like to discuss? Any owners of rival teams posting sexually explicit images on social media that we should know about? Any monster contracts to young players you want to project for our team? Anything else (non-political, of course) that we should know about? This is the place to chit-chat about all of that. Enjoy!
