Plenty of analysts have been down on the Houston Texans this offseason, largely because of the questions surrounding the quarterback position. Earlier this week, ESPN’s future power rankings projected the Texans as the 23rd ranked team.

Now, Las Vegas sportsbook Bovada has released the playoff odds for each NFL team heading into the 2017 season. Despite winning their division in back-to-back years, the Texans are 13th on that list.

According to Bovada, Houston’s odds to make/miss the 2017 playoffs are:

Will the Houston Texans make the playoffs?

Yes +120 (6/5)

No -150 (2/3)

Behind obvious contenders like the New England Patriots, Packers and Falcons, Houston also falls below division rivals the Tennessee Titans (who came in at No. 10 on the list).

Ahead of the Texans in Bovada’s playoff odds are the Patriots (1/30), Seahawks (1/6), Packers (1/5), Steelers (1/3), Cowboys (1/2), Raiders (1/2), Falcons (2/3), Chiefs (10/13), Panthers (1/1), Titans (1/1), Giants (11/10) and Ravens (6/5).

As for AFC South opponents, the Colts(13/10) are one spot behind the Texans while the Jaguars (7/2) are 24th.

What are your thoughts, Texans fans? Do you agree with Houston’s position on this list? Do you think they should have better odds to repeat a postseason appearance?
