Andre Johnson is the best player the Texans have ever had. I say that with the knowledge that J.J. Watt’s career is not yet done, but as of right now, Johnson is the greatest this franchise has ever produced. After Johnson announced his retirement in October of last year, he signed a one-day contract with the Texans so he could officially end his career as a member of the Houston Texans.

Almost a year later, and Johnson will be honoured by the franchise during the team’s Week 11 clash with the Arizona Cardinals by being the first player in franchise history to be inducted into the Texans Ring Of Honor.

Johnson was one of the best receivers in the NFL during his prime, which led to him leading the league in receiving yards in 2008 and 2009. Johnson’s achievements stretch as far as being 11th all time in receiving yards with over 14,000 over his 14 seasons in the NFL, 12 of which were with the Texans, who drafted him with the third overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft.

The G.O.A.T’s going to the Ring of Honor. Is it enough? Should Dre get the Shaq treatment and get a statue outside of the statdium? If you were in charge of the Texans, what would you do to honor Andre Johnson?
