S.N.O.T.: Are You Ready for Some Training Camp?

We’ve made it. The Houston Texans open training camp this week, and we fan(atic)s are ready and waiting.

It’s been a long, hot summer to get to the weekend before training camp, but we’re finally here. The Texans as we knew them are gone, and the 2017 NFL Season is getting ready to start up. This final weekend before the long, hot slog of training camp is always interesting for fans. We’re eager to see what the new team has in store for us, but anxious to see marked improvement as well.

When last season ended, the Texans had question marks at quarterback, head coach, defensive coordinator, offensive line, special teams, and receiving corps. Perhaps some of those questions have been answered? Or, perhaps not. But now we’re going to get to see what HC/OC Bill O’Brien has in store from us, now that the Ghost of George Godsey has been put to rest. What do you think we’ll see from the team during the new few weeks? Anything that smacks of league (or division) domination? Or more of the same?

For those of you who want to spend this final weekend without being a fanatic for the Texans, what are you working on this weekend? Any recipes? Movies we should see (I hear Dunkirk is amazing)? Music we need to be listening to? TV shows the world is sleeping on (a shameless plug for The Last Kingdom)?

This is your Saturday Night Open Thread, discuss whatever random (appropriate) things come to mind! Enjoy!
