Saturday Night’s Alright For Commenting: July 8, 2017

Good evening, folks. We’ve made it through another week without the Texans playing and we’re gathering together to talk about it.

Good evening, fellow Texans fanatics. Though we’ve gone yet another week without the guys playing real, meaningful games, we’ve still got plenty to chat about regarding our team and everything else under the sun.

This week, the Texans were largely on vacation to celebrate the 4th (well, not vacation like you or I -- I seriously doubt copious amounts of beer and BBQ was consumed by any of them, and none of them turned up at the hot dog eating contest, but still...). We had several discussions here at BRB where we decided the priorities for the mass of cap space the team has (please heed us, Rick). We debated whether the team would be better off with Alex Smith of Deshaun Watson in 2017. We discussed who was most underpaid on the team (in a sport where every player is in the highest tax bracket in the US). We set our definitions of Texans success for 2017. We explained why everyone should love the Texans just as much as we do. And we analyzed some game film, led by our game film guru, Brett.

That was the week in Texans news, folks. Anything we missed? Anything we should know about in other sports or in the realms of culture, world news (please, no politics), or other fields? This is your open thread. Enjoy!
